We propagated these seedlings from the hallows of our Kingston garden. Another year or two and they will burst forth with their colorful globes and illuminate the garden in which they reside with shades of the lightest whites to the darkest blues. Take a chance and reap the rewards.
An unusual cultivar bred by legendary Agapanthus breeder, Peit Zonneveld, 'Back in Black' boasts jet-black stems topped with deep purple flowers. Beautiful black seed pods develop after the flowers fade, providing summer-long garden interest. Seed pod topped stems stand out in cut flower arrangements. The flower stems emerge green and gradually blacken as the flower progresses. Healthy 1 year old bare-root plants are shipped in spring only. *Available as bare-root plants only.
