This selection by Thurman Maness of North Carolina features brilliant deep red undersides to the leaves, glowing when backlit by the sun. Flowers have a reddish calyx and white corolla. An outstanding, splendid Begonia.
A magnificent performer at Fordhook Farm, this hardy begonia displays an inflorescence of hot pink and lavender bicolor flowers hanging 12 inches long, over twice that of the typical species. They spill gracefully down from the stems backed by shiny, triangular foliage. Later, the seed heads take on striking pink tones. Best in partial shade and well-drained soil. An exclusive Heronswood introduction from seed collected in Japan.

Begonia
A diminutive plant with cascades of fine orange flowers in such numbers that they completely obscure the pot by late summer. Small, waxy, leaves with interesting serrated edges provide a cool green backdrop to the blooms.
