This lovely new color will illuminate every corner of your garden. Soft lime green blooms nod above traditional blue-green foliage, creating an elegant display as a specimen or en masse. Plus, the fully double, spurless blooms eventually turn to a clean white, creating even more interest both in the garden and in the vase. Tidy, clump-forming plants require little or no maintenance. Ht: 30-36". Zones 3-8. Ships in a 4ö inch container. Approx. 3 1/4ö x 4 1/4ö x 3 7/8ö (25.8 cu. In. soil volume).
We collected this lovely columbine in the mountains of Turkey in 2000. Reaching a stately 18" tall, A. olympica sets forth large blue petalled, white sepaled flowers that are at home in any garden. An excellent species with flowers that rival any similar variety or selection. Ships in a 4ö inch container. Approx. 3 1/4ö x 4 1/4ö x 3 7/8ö (25.8 cu. In. soil volume).
Another of the Aquilegia flabellata varieties we can not get enough of. 'Blue Angel' is an even further stunted variety that only grows 8-10 inches tall with attractive lavender flowers punctuated by a cream throat. Flowers resemble an epimedium on steroids. An exciting new variety you need to plant in your garden to appreciate.
Our collections from above the Birong Valley. A very attractive species with nodding, large sepaled flowers of deep purple on 15-18ö stems in mid-spring. This species thrives in our southward facing garden beds, in full sun and sharply drained soil. Ships in a 4ö inch container. Approx. 3 1/4ö x 4 1/4ö x 3 7/8ö (25.8 cu. In. soil volume).
An exciting double flowered Aquilegia that is reminescent of holiday candy-canes planted in the garden. An amazing combination of red and white flowers that draw immediate attention. Strong flowering, 16" plants will intreague even the most well-seasoned gardener. Ships in a 4ö inch container. Approx. 3 1/4ö x 4 1/4ö x 3 7/8ö (25.8 cu. In. soil volume).
The bell-of-the-ball. This columbine looks very similar to a highly ruffled party dress with its satin cords draping down. An outstanding double flowered variety immediately spoke to us and created excitement in Aquilegias once again. Don't pass this one by- we couldn't! Ships in a 4ö inch container. Approx. 3 1/4ö x 4 1/4ö x 3 7/8ö (25.8 cu. In. soil volume).
