One of the most fragrant, unusually colored, and hardiest climbing roses, this classic beauty displays pure honey-apricot to peachy-pink double blossoms, forming heavy, nodding clusters of deliciously heady fragrance, The deep, almost black glossy green foliage lends itself to being tucked behind a burst of herbaceous perennials. Quickly climbs to 15 feet in full sun and fertile garden soil.
A fine rose not commonly known outside of rosarian circles, where it is held in high regard for its heady fragrance, constant bloom, vigor and disease resistance. It is a shrubby, fairly vigorous selection with arching reddish canes clad in handsome, yellow-green foliage. Soon following is a long offering of sweetly scented white flowers opening from yellow buds, followed by tiny red hips. Quite tolerant of a shaded location, as long as it gets a few hours of sunlight each day.

For gardens that can accommodate impressive size, there is no more dramatic rose to be had. Simply provide full sun and any draining soil.
Adopted from an original Kingdon Ward collection from North Burma at the beginning of the last century. Strong Growing clumps of rather thick stems from a fleshy root and semi-clasping leaves, with a pretty helmet-shaped purple flowers presented in condensed terminal racemes in late summer and early autumn. Partial shade or full sun recommended in evenly moist, cool, peaty soil.
Almost perfectly round, theses cupped blossoms resemble the blushed cheeks of a prized china doll.
